Place an entire “sleeve” (or more if needed to cover bottom of pan) with saltine crackers.
Melt 2 sticks of butter with 1 cup sugar and pour evenly over crackers.
Bake this at 350 for 20 min.
As soon as this removed from the oven, sprinkle evenly with 2 cups of chocolate chips; spread evenly.
Sprinkle with 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts.
Refrigerate for an hour; break into pieces, keep refrigerated.
Break into pieces and serve.
