Mix, pour into crock pot and in 5 hour your cake is ready to serve!

This recipe was shared with us by Patricia Proctor of Hartsville Tennessee  and presented on the show by 9 year old, Brooklen Fuqua of Greenbrier TN.  The Rich Chocolate Crock Pot Cake has been approved by the Southern Woods and Water guests, young and mature, on the trip to Hendrix Creek Resort on Dale Hollow Lake.

Ingredients:
1 Box of Dark Chocolate cake mix
1 Box of Instant Chocolate pudding
1 Pint Sour cream
1 Cup Water
3/4 Cup Oil
4 Large Eggs

Mix all of the above ingredients in a large mixing bowl, then stir in:
12 oz of Chocolate chips.  (peanut butter or butterscotch chips or your favorite candy bars chopped)
Spray your crock pot with Pam, pour mixture into crock pot, turn it on low and cover for 4-5 hours. Don’t open the lid.
You will know that it’s ready when the cake begins to pull away from the sides of the crock pot and the middle is not too wiggly.
Service hot! Top with your favorite flavor of Ice cream and other toppings if desired.

If chocolate is not your favorite, try the recipe with your favorite flavors and let us know how it turned out!  I’m thinking that Strawberry and cream cheese would be delicious or Confetti cake for the kids.
